Summer Jobs at Metsä Group: Summer Trainee, Marketing, Communications and Sustainability, Metsä Board Espoo

What kind of summer job awaits you?

You will join Metsä Board, a European leader in premium fresh fibre paperboards, as part of the Marketing, Communications and Sustainability team, located in the company’s headquarters in Espoo.  You will report to Marketing Director.

As a summer trainee, you will:

• Assist with various customer-facing communication and marketing materials and tasks
• Update Metsä Board’s website (Optimizely CMS)
• Create content for Metsä Board’s intranet (Microsoft Sharepoint)
• Work with Metsä Board’s social media accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube)
• Assist with customer newsletters (Microsoft Customer Insights)
• Assist with event management
• Support in various sustainability questionnaires
• Support in carbon footprint calculations

In this position you are working according to normal office hours with possibility to hybrid work.

During the summer, you’ll gain hands-on experience in:

• International B2B communications and marketing
• Social media and digital marketing for global audiences
• Creating engaging internal content for Metsä Board personnel
• Sustainability communication

What are we expecting of you?

• Preferred educational background: Ongoing studies in marketing, communications, or sustainability/environmental engineering, university or university of applied sciences level  
• Advantageous experience: Microsoft Office, knowledge of Adobe software (especially Photoshop and InDesign), video editing (Adobe Premiere, Microsoft Clipchamp), AI (Copilot),  Optimizely CMS, Microsoft Sharepoint and Microsoft Customer Insights.
• Qualities for success: Proactive, organised, collaborative, precise and attentive to small details
• Language skills: Strong English and Finnish skills required, knowledge of Swedish and other languages is an advantage
• Duration: Late spring – early autumn (exact dates to be agreed on)
