Summer jobs at Metsä Group - Summer Trainee, Technical Customer Service, Metsä Board
What kind of summer job awaits you?
We are looking for 2 Summer Trainees to our Technical Customer Service team in Finland; one trainee for the Customer Feedback Centre (CFC) in Äänekoski and another trainee for the Mill Technical Customer Service. In the latter role you can be located in Äänekoski, Simpele or Kyröskoski.
Team members are situated in following Metsä Board paperboard mills in Finland (Äänekoski, Simpele, Kyröskoski) and Sweden, Husum. In these positions you will report to Technical Customer Service Manager.
Customer Feedback Center (CFC) in Äänekoski is responsible for complaint handling process in Europe.
Your role in Customer Feedback Centre (CFC) would be
Mill Technical Customer Service is more responsible for investigating the complaint in co-operation with the production unit.
Your role in Mill Technical Customer Service would be
You will learn how to handle claims and you will learn a lot of paperboard products. How they are used by our customers, but also about our paperboard processes. You will get a lot of practise in English language.
Work is from Monday to Friday – normal office hours with some flexibility with remote working possibilities.
This is an interesting position to get to know international paperboard business and work with professionals in the industry.
What are we expecting of you?
The summer job is well suited for a student of, for example, process engineering, chemical engineering, supply chain, industrial engineering and management at university or college level. We hope that you have already some years of studying covered.
We expect you to be reliable, flexible, proactive and cooperative. We value your ability to work independently, and your willingness to learn and develop on the job.
We hope that you have previous experience from the area of production and/or complaint handling. Experience with MES system (e.g. TIPS) and SAP R/3 systems would be an advantage. Fluency in English is required. We also require Finnish language skills at the Finnish mills and Swedish language skills at the Husum mill in Sweden as you need to be able to talk with production people.
We hope you could start in May and continue until August.
