What kind of summer job awaits you?

Metsä Group Treasury Oy is Metsä Group’s centralized treasury unit providing financing and treasury services to all Metsä Group companies and business units.

We are looking for a trainee to join our Treasury Back Office team for the summer.

In this role, you will handle day-to-day tasks related to post-trade processing of treasury transactions (including foreign exchange, money market, securities, commodities…). Your responsibilities will include confirmation management, payments, and general ledger postings. You will also work with Metsä Group’s Internal Bank solution.

Alongside your Back Office colleagues you will collaborate closely with Treasury’s Market Operations and Middle Office teams, as well as external bank contacts.

This summer position is based in Espoo.

What are we expecting of you?

We value an accurate and analytical approach to work, combined with a flexible attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The role requires organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines. This position is ideal for students in the field of finance at a university or university of applied sciences. Early-stage students are also welcome to apply.

The planned period for the summer job is 18 May – 21 August 2026, but the exact dates are negotiable.
