Summer Trainee, Field Support Development

KONE's Global Spares Supply (GSS) plans, sources and delivers quality spare parts and service materials to KONE frontlines and distributors across the globe. We stock over 65,000 materials across multiple Delivery Centers and deliver over 1,000,000 item lines per year. GSS plays a key role in enabling our Service business to achieve sustainable success with customers.

We are now looking for a 

Summer Trainee, Field Support Development

to join the Maintenance Field Support Development team in the KONE Global Spares Supply Unit.

This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about project management, data analysis and enthusiastic to create technical configuration content for different projects in various tools.  As part of the development team you will be able to put into practice knowledge that you have studied related to the aforementioned. Particularly beneficial would be to have basic programming skills and experience with Microsoft Power tools e.g. Power Automate. Mechanical engineering degree, and experience in product configuration are also considered a plus.

The internship is four months paid full-time work starting in spring. The start date can be agreed mutually to suit your studies and preference. This position is located in Hyvinkää, Finland.

In this position you get to:

• Collaborate with GSS Maintenance Field Support technical teams as well as multiple organizations inside KONE

• Support multiple projects developing new KONE solutions

• Create content into different technical solutions used by the Service technicians in the field

• Develop and map multiple process flows to support tool developments

• Get introduced to multiple different tools used in KONE.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Basic knowledge of data modeling and automations tools, preferably Power BI & Automate

• Good skills with Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint

• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders

It’s an asset if you have:

• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, e.g. Power Automate and Apps

• Previous work with product configurators / configuration rules

• Spare part supply chain process and business understanding

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field.
