Summer Trainee, Sustainability

We are looking for a Summer Trainee, Sustainability, to join our team in Espoo. We offer you an opportunity to gain insight on how we drive sustainability in an international business environment and how sustainability supports the achievement of our business targets. You will be working in an international environment and collaborating with colleagues from various parts of the world. You will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience about circularity and climate actions in the packaging business and how we embed sustainability in our global operations. You will also be experiencing the role that sustainability plays in managing an international business first-hand.

Where you’ll be:

You will be located at our headquarters in Espoo, Finland and you should be within reasonable commuting distance from here. This is a primarily in-office role, with the flexibility of one remote day per week.

You will participate in the following tasks:

• Support development of Scope 3 decarbonization plan for the company

• Data analytics, climate transition plan development

• Participate in sustainability projects

• Develop materials, research and analysis of key sustainability themes

• Possibility to carry out a development project of your own in one of the above areas

To succeed in this role you will need:

• 2-5 years of relevant study background (e.g. sustainability, business, economics, engineering or science)

• Interest in sustainability and knowledge of key themes around climate, especially corporate GHG emission calculations and LCAs

• Attention to detail and an analytical mindset, excellent command in excel

• Curiosity and strong desire to learn about collaboration in multi-cultural and diverse environment

• Proactive way of working, desire for personal development and learning new things

• Ability to work as part of a team, while also comfortable with independent work and taking ownership

• Fluency in English (written and spoken)

The employment is fixed term, and it will start in April/May 2026 and last until the end of August 2026, with a potential short summer break period in July and potential extension after the summer period.
