The Role & the Team

To support the transformation and growth ambitions of the HPS Business, we are looking for our next Demand Planning Leader (M/F).
The position is based in Lestrem or La Madeleine (near Lille, France) and covers all geographies where HPS operates.

Another location may also be considered, depending on the candidate’s profile and location.

You will report directly to the Head of Global Planning.

Our Teams

The Global Planning teams play a strategic role in driving supply chain performance and customer satisfaction.
They work closely with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain functions to anticipate demand, optimize inventory, and ensure reliable and efficient service worldwide.

Their Mission

To deliver robust and integrated demand planning, enabling:

• optimized inventory levels,
• improved service performance,
• and sustainable revenue growth across all regions.

The Demand Planning Leader will also act as demand planner for one or more in-scope business lines.

In This Context, Your Mission

You will be responsible for defining and executing the global demand planning strategy, aligning processes, tools, and teams to deliver accurate forecasts and operational excellence.
You will lead an international team of demand planners and drive digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Define & Deploy the Global Demand Planning Strategy

• Develop and implement the demand planning strategy aligned with corporate goals and market dynamics.
• Own the global Demand Review process (part of S&OP), ensuring alignment between demand, supply, and financial targets.
• Integrate business intelligence from Commercial, Finance, and Marketing into forecasts for improved accuracy.

Lead & Develop Teams

• Manage and mentor a team of regional and global demand planners.
• Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Build capabilities and enable skill development across the team.

Optimize Tools & Processes

• Oversee demand planning systems and tools, driving automation and digital transformation initiatives.
• Promote best practices and process standardization across all regions.
• Leverage advanced technologies (AI/ML) to enhance forecast accuracy.

Drive Performance & Influence Decisions

• Monitor forecast accuracy and bias across regions; implement corrective actions and best practices.
• Define and track KPIs for global demand planning performance.
• Present demand insights and risks to executive leadership to influence strategic decisions.
• Support product lifecycle planning, including launches, transitions, and end-of-life strategies.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA or Master’s preferred).

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain leadership with global scope.
• Proven track record in leading planning transformations and cross-functional teams.
• Experience in B2B pharma or healthcare industries.

Skills

• Expertise in advanced planning systems (SAP IBP, OMP Solutions, etc.).
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
• APICS/IBF certifications (CPIM, CSCP, CPF) are a plus.
• Familiarity with AI/ML-driven forecasting and digital supply chain initiatives.

Languages: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.

Mobility: Occasional international travel required.
