Job Title (Job code):      Process Engineer/DFO Leader (IN-IT-03_001 for Tier 1)

Puprose of Job

§  In the scope of new product development, Define the manufacturing processes and Identify the associated equipment necessary for production.

§  Prepare comprehensive industrial documentation that outlines procedures, guidelines, and specifications, which are crucial for maintaining quality control and facilitate effective communication across teams.

§  Estimate the manufacturing workload for components relevant to the domain, which is vital for effective resource allocation, scheduling, and project planning, ultimately ensuring that production targets are met within established timelines and budgetary constraints.

§  This task requires careful consideration of the company's industrial policies, adherence to existing standards, and an awareness of project-specific constraints to ensure optimal efficiency and product quality.

Responsibilities

During Specification and Preliminary Design Phases:

-         Gather industrial requirements that Engineering must comply with during product specification and design, and clearly communicate these to the Engineering team.

-         Actively participate in product design using co-engineering methodologies and best practices.

-         Design the macro-process based on standard SMP.

-         Prepare for the introduction of new technologies, developing an associated process validation plan as needed.

-         Identify requirements for specific manufacturing equipment.

-         Estimate Method Time and conduct preliminary line balancing.

-         Identify critical process steps for detailed Process FMEA and comprehensive FAR/FAI assessments.

During Detailed Design Phase and Before Serial Go:

-         Complete all necessary industrial documentation, including industrial data sheets and the Industrial Maturity Follow-Up (IMFU).

-         Conduct P-FMEA to evaluate potential process failures.

-         Participate in the validation of prototypes, if applicable.

-         Develop specifications for industrial means to support serial production.

  Define workstation layouts that adhere to ergonomic and EHS standards while optimizing workflow.

     Conduct thorough and complete line balancing.

  
  

      Validate product design and industrialization processes through FAR and FAI assessments.

  
  

  After Serial Go:

  
  

  -         Oversee the industrialization of retrofits following engineering changes, including documentation and workstation definition or updates.

  
  

  -         Provide support to Production in meeting manufacturing QCD targets.

  
  

  Other Activities:

  
  

  -         Provide expertise to the Industrial Costing Manager during the tender phase.

  
  

  -         Actively participate in R&D programs as the industrial representative.

  
  

  -         Conduct industrial REX assessments on manufacturing processes
