This is a dynamic and highly respected repair methods engineering role supporting engineering technology development, new product initiatives and critical execution engineering support, for all OEM and targeted oOEM fleets of generators.

The Generator Methods Engineering team is responsible for providing generator engineering support for all activities associated with routine maintenance, parts, repairs, and upgrades.

Your Role:

• Tooling design expertise (repairs, maintenance and new build/assembly)
• Ensure compliance with applicable technical regulations & standards (including calculations, load testing, lifting specs, documentation – user manuals and certifications where required)
• Provide inputs to Application engineers for costing of engineering hours and hardware as well as validate technological solutions proposed
• Lead and coordinate the tooling design and methods activities. Interact with Generator design team, contingent workers & subcontractors, Mechanical and electrical calculation teams, vendors, regional engineering, Project Engineering Managers, Project Managers, GE site personnel
• Tooling design lead role includes preparation of inputs, follow-up and validation of deliverables (parts + assembly 2D/3D + RPDM structure)
• Methods activities include authoring & maintenance of procedures as well as lists of operations / FSI or ITPL
• Lead customer meetings if required 
• Contribute with innovative concept ideas in New Product Introduction (NPI) and RTS project definitions, and execution phase
• Develop and maintain tooling and method solutions for new stators and rotors, rewinds, uprates, and other upgrades for generators
• Develop and maintain necessary processes and standard work to deliver and improve.
• Contribute to engineering design review activities, and timely documentation of lessons learned
• Technical development and mentoring of engineers in the repairs and methods group.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent learning through experience.
