Multilingual Handwritten OCR Data Collection

We are currently seeking freelancers, local data collectors, data-collection agencies, and vendors who can provide high-quality handwritten image data produced by native or local speakers of the required languages.

Required Languages and Volumes

• German: 3,000 images
• Japanese: 6,000 images
• Korean: 6,000 images
• French: 3,000 images

Collection Methods

Option 1 – Web Sourcing / Crawling

The following requirements must be met:

• Images must be sourced from relevant local or native-language websites.
• The original image URL must be retained and provided for each image.
• Each submitted image must correspond to its provided URL and be verifiable.
• Images must contain genuine handwritten content.
• The collected data must comply with applicable website terms, copyright requirements, and relevant data-usage regulations.

Option 2 – Actual Photo Collection

The following requirements apply:

• Handwritten content must be produced by native or local speakers of the required language.
• Images must have a minimum resolution of 1080p.
• Handwriting must be clear and legible.
• Cluttered backgrounds and unnecessary text should be avoided.
• Proof of local origin or collection may be required, such as collection-environment photographs, EXIF/location metadata, or other acceptable verification.
