Multisite Plant Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Multisite Plant Manager to oversee operations at our manufacturing facilities in Grand-Est of France. The Plant Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, ensuring production efficiency, maintaining high safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and regulations in France.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Leadership:
   
   
   
   • Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics.
   
   
   • Develop and implement operational strategies to meet production goals, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
   
   


2. Team Management:
   
   
   
   • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of professionals, including department managers and frontline employees.
   
   
   • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
   
   
   • Ensure adequate staffing levels and oversee recruitment and training.
   
   


3. Safety and Compliance:
   
   
   
   • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations in France.
   
   
   • Promote a culture of safety and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks.
   
   


4. Quality Assurance:
   
   
   
   • Maintain high standards of product quality and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and certifications.
   
   
   • Address quality issues promptly and effectively.
   
   


5. Financial Management:
   
   
   
   • Prepare and manage the plant’s budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial sustainability.
   
   
   • Monitor and control operational expenses.
   
   


6. Continuous Improvement:
   
   
   
   • Drive process optimization and lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance productivity.
   
   
   • Identify and implement innovative solutions to operational challenges.
   
   


7. Stakeholder Communication:
   
   
   
   • Act as the primary liaison between the plant and corporate leadership.
   
   
   • Provide regular updates on plant performance, challenges, and opportunities.
   
   


8. Supply Chain and Inventory Management:
   
   
   
   • Ensure efficient supply chain operations and maintain optimal inventory levels.
   
   
   • Collaborate with suppliers and logistics partners to meet production demands.
   
   

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.


• Proven experience (10-15 years) in a plant management or senior manufacturing leadership role.


• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.


• Strong understanding of French labor laws and compliance requirements.


• Proficiency in French and English (spoken and written).


• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.


• Experience with ERP systems and data analysis tools.


• Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is an advantage.
