🙌 The Roles
Boundless Education is transforming current systems of education. Our educational concept empowers all children to explore their natural creativity, discover their true passions, and shape their own future. We apply the renowned Finnish Curriculum integrated with best pedagogical practices from around the world to create a personalised, multi-age, skills-driven and strength-based system that is supportively led by educators as mentors.
We are looking for a Primary Years Lead Teachers and a Support Educators to join our Pathfinders program, designed for students aged 6–12, at our exciting new location in Annecy, France.
Please note: This is a new location launch. We are aiming for a January 2027 start date and will be providing more clarity on the exact timeline soon. We appreciate your patience and excitement as we bring Boundless Life to Annecy!
👩🏫 Role 1: Primary Years Lead Teacher
The Lead Teacher drives the classroom experience, guiding children through personalised learning pathways and implementing Boundless Education's Questing framework. This is a leadership role within the classroom, responsible for the full learning journey of each child.
What You'll Do
- Ensure the duty of care for all children
- Cultivate a sense of community and belonging
- Foster holistic well-being, encompassing physical, social, and emotional health
- Implement the Boundless Education Questing framework for authentic learning experiences
- Guide children along personalised learning pathways
- Provide routine updates to parents using technological tools
- Establish goals with children and monitor progress with verbal and written feedback
- Plan interdisciplinary lessons incorporating local experiences
- Apply inquiry-based learning strategies
- Maximise educational technology tools for learning
- Lead conferences and collect data for end-of-cohort Growth Trackers
- Collaborate with colleagues to set high learning standards in a best-practice environment
- Engage in continuous professional learning for personal and educational growth
- Build strong connections with parents and carers
About You
- Excellent English language skills; French is a strong advantage for this location
- Live in Annecy or nearby, able to commute daily
- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of full-time classroom experience
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced and evolving environments
- Clear and effective communicator
- Experience with inquiry-based educational programs and collaborative teams
- Experience with culturally and linguistically diverse learners
- Special needs expertise is a great plus
- Knowledge of child safety, psychological needs, research-supported instructional techniques, and assessment strategies
👩🏫 Role 2: Support Educator
Support Educators are partners in education, working alongside the Lead Teacher to provide the best possible experience for each child. The role is designed to assist the classroom teacher and allow for more effective utilisation of their professional knowledge and abilities.
What You'll Do
Accountability for Learning
- Inspire students to achieve maximum learning by employing various teaching techniques, methods, and principles of learning to enable students to succeed academically, socially, behaviourally, and emotionally
- Develop engaging and meaningful activities in collaboration with educational professionals and community service providers to ensure an outstanding student experience every day
- Lead small group instruction and collect required data to determine each child's progress in line with their individual education plan (IEP)
- Foster a culture of learning and acceptance by advocating for children with academic, social-emotional, or behavioural concerns, and model appropriate social skills in the classroom
Instructional Design & Practice
- Dedicate some hours per week to lead, plan, and teach workshops or sessions in your areas of expertise and passion
- Direct small group or individual instruction as guided by the Lead Teacher, working cooperatively by sharing ideas and concerns
- Implement behaviour management activities that promote a safe learning environment for all
- Mobilise and develop resources to support instructional activities planned by the Lead Teacher
- Cover for Lead Teachers when they are sick or unavailable
- Support educators during Nature Time, Arts, Science, Cooking, and Cultural Immersion sessions
- Assist with lunch/snack duty, nap duty, and playground supervision
- Help maintain clean and organised facilities throughout the day
About You
- Excellent English language skills; French is a strong advantage for this location
- Live in Annecy or nearby, able to commute daily
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Willingness to develop knowledge in crisis prevention, intervention, and management
- Willingness to gain knowledge of effective teaching methodologies for students with disabilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in ambiguous environments
- Ability to promote ethical behaviour and maintain confidentiality regarding students
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to apply quick thinking in a fast-growing environment
