Description de l'emploi - Senior Manager – Revenue Assurance & Fraud Management




To lead and oversee the strategic direction, design, and implementation of MTN Cameroon’s end-to-end Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management framework. The Senior Manager RAFM is accountable for ensuring robust governance, risk mitigation, and operational excellence across all revenue-impacting domains.



This role drives cross-functional collaboration to embed a culture of revenue protection and fraud prevention aligned with MTN Group’s RAFM Control Framework (RACF), while building high-performing teams and delivering measurable business impact.


Requirements



Strategic Leadership & Governance



  • Develop and own the strategic roadmap for RAFM at MTN Cameroon, aligned with MTN Group priorities and evolving industry best practices.

  • Lead the continuous enhancement of the RAFM Control Framework (RACF) implementation, ensuring integration with business units and technology teams.

  • Provide thought leadership on revenue assurance, fraud management, and financial risk control to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Represent MTN Cameroon in Group RAFM forums, audits, and crossfunctional committees



Operational Excellence & Risk Management



  • Oversee the design, implementation, and monitoring of robust revenue assurance and fraud controls across all revenue streams and processes.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging data analytics, automation, AI/ML techniques, and digital tools to detect and mitigate revenue leakage and fraud risks.

  • Ensure effective risk assessment, control validation, and incident management processes.

  • Lead readiness for internal and external audits and regulatory compliance reviews



People Leadership & Capability



  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary RAFM team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on innovation, accountability, and professional growth.

  • Drive capability building in data analytics, predictive modelling, fraud detection, and assurance automation.

  • Promote MTN’s values and ensure an inclusive, collaborative, and motivating work environment



Stakeholder Management & Communication



  • Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders (Commercial, technology, Finance, Legal) and external partners (auditors, regulators, vendors).

  • Translate complex analytical insights into clear, actionable recommendations for executive decision-making.

  • Lead communication on RAFM performance, risks, and initiatives through regular reporting and presentations to senior management.



Technology & Innovation



  • Collaborate with RAFM technology teams to define business requirements, ensure effective system functionality, and drive innovation in assurance tools.

  • Champion the adoption of emerging technologies including AI/ML for advanced fraud detection and predictive analytics.

  • Monitor technology performance and lead initiatives to optimize the RAFM technology landscape.



Reporting, Monitoring & Stakeholder Engagement



  • Lead the monitoring of control performance across all revenue processes by consolidating inputs from control owners and business units

  • Oversee the end-to-end RAFM reporting lifecycle, ensuring timely, accurate, and insight-driven dashboards, KPIs, control results, and risk reports are delivered to both local management, Board of Directors and Group RAFM.

  • Guarantee report integrity and audit readiness by maintaining comprehensive records of control outcomes, incident logs, assurance findings, and remediation actions in line with RACF and MTN internal control policies

  • Act as the key liaison between local RAFM Controls & Processes and Group RAFM to ensure alignment on frameworks, methodologies, and risk treatment strategies

  • Champion a culture of data-driven control monitoring through the implementation of automated alerts, KPI thresholds, and early warning mechanisms.

  • Use trends and insights from reports to identify systemic issues, recommend improvements, and influence control enhancement initiatives.

  • Support the evolution of the RAFM control monitoring framework by leveraging digital tools and data analytics to drive efficiency and transparency.



Data Analytics & Insight Generation



  • Provide strategic direction for the use of data analytics to enhance RAFM controls, focusing on automation, trend detection, and issue escalation.

  • Lead the design and implementation of advanced analytics frameworks that support root cause analysis, revenue assurance insights, and fraud risk forecasting.

  • Champion the adoption of artificial intelligence and machine learning to strengthen risk detection and control optimization efforts across revenue streams.

  • Oversee the development and governance of RAFM dashboards and interactive reports, ensuring real-time visibility into revenue leakage, fraud incidents, and control effectiveness



Sensitivity: MTN Internal



  • Establish and enforce data quality and governance standards to ensure the reliability and audit-readiness of analytics outputs

  • Oversee the design and maintenance of real-time dashboards and interactive reports (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) that deliver visibility into control performance, revenue leakage trends, fraud incidents, and compliance KPIs.

  • Identify and scale best practices in digital assurance to enhance risk detection accuracy, response times, and control maturity Compliance & Framework Alignment

  • Lead the implementation and enforcement of MTN Group’s RAFM Control Framework (RACF), ensuring full alignment with internal control policies, regulatory requirements, and international best practices across all revenue-generating activities.

  • Lead the periodic self-assessment process and control effectiveness evaluations, identifying gaps, initiating corrective actions, and ensuring continuous alignment with Group RAFM standards and risk appetite

  • Comply with MTN Data Privacy Policy Communication

  • Build and sustain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders by ensuring regular engagement, transparency in RAFM activities, and responsiveness to operational concerns

  • Lead the preparation of concise, insightful presentations and dashboards for senior management to communicate RAFM achievements, ongoing investigations, and key risk indicators.




Process Optimization & Automation



  • Drive strategic initiatives to automate assurance processes and strengthen control’s environments using advanced technologies such as 
    scripting, AI, and machine learning.

  • Lead cross-functional reviews to identify process inefficiencies across key revenue-impacting domains (e.g., provisioning, billing, customer 
    lifecycle), and champion data-driven solutions to enhance control effectiveness.

  • Oversee RAFM involvement in product and system development lifecycles, ensuring revenue assurance requirements are embedded during design, UAT, and deployment phases.

  • Provide governance and oversight on RAFM platform operations, including system upgrades, configuration, and integration with key business and
    technology ecosystems



  • Business Assurance

  • Collaborate with project managers and product owners to ensure appropriate control design, validation, and monitoring mechanisms are
    integrated during UAT and post-implementation phases.


  • Drive the continuous enhancement of the business assurance framework, ensuring it remains aligned with evolving business models,
    technologies, and risk exposures

  • Continuously refine and adapt the Business Assurance framework and the methodologies to align with industry best practices, business
    evolution, and technological shifts.

  • Leverage findings from the Integrated Maturity Framework (IMF) assessments to benchmark the effectiveness, completeness, and maturity
    of business assurance controls.



  • Technology Management

  • Own and facilitate the definition of business requirements required to enhance and maintain the Revenue Assurance and fraud management
    technology environment which can be used by the Technology team to design and implement the required functionality.

  • Provide feedback to RAFM Technology teams in relation to Revenue

  • Assurance technology performance to ensure that the technology environment can be continuously improved.

  • Supervisory / Leadership / Managerial Complexity: Refers to the responsibilities for directing, guiding, motivating and influencing others.

  • Lead and manage the Revenue Assurance and fraud management team to ensure the delivery of functional objectives to manage financial risk.

  • Develop and retain people with relevant skills, qualifications and potential to ensure a highly skilled Revenue Assurance and fraud
    management environment.

  • Define the KPAs and KPIs for the team and evaluate and assess people performance accordingly.

  • Ensure that the RAFM team receive the necessary training relevant to their job specifications Lead business about Revenue Assurance and
    fraud management solutions.

  • Create positive change and manage change within RAFM.

  • Continuously communicate with and motivate staff.

  • Coach, develop and counsel staff enabling better performance.

  • Build employee relations and collaborative teamwork.

  • Give presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Deploy and redeploy resources to get the work done and to meet deadlines.

  • Build and enforce a customer centric approach
