Senior Operations Specialist, Marketplace

As a Senior Operations Specialist – Marketplace, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the performance and long-term health of Bolt's French marketplace. You will own pricing strategy across 50+ cities, making sure our value proposition remains compelling and competitively positioned — leveraging ongoing competitive intelligence to anticipate market shifts and sharpen our edge. Through recurrent city-level performance deep dives, you will turn data into action, identifying growth levers and addressing structural challenges across France. You will also drive investment decisions and partner closely with FP&A to co-lead planning cycles that define targets and forecasts — acting as a guardian of our value proposition by ensuring every strategic call is grounded in marketplace realities. 

Main Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of pricing decisions across the city portfolio, acting as a value proposition guardian by ensuring every pricing call is grounded in data, competitive context, and measurable impact. Partner closely with Product and Analytics to ensure pricing logic translates into tangible operational results.


• Serve as the go-to strategic partner for local P&L owners — helping them understand marketplace dynamics, challenge underperformance, and make confident decisions. Ensure the value proposition remains strong and consistent across cities by bridging the gap between central pricing strategy and local execution realities.


• Establish and maintain a structured competitive intelligence framework: capture competitor moves systematically, publish focused market deep-dives, and translate insights into actionable pricing and marketplace strategy recommendations that keep Bolt ahead of the curve.


• Regularly engage (~2 days/month) with drivers, fleet partners, and hubs to keep decisions rooted in real marketplace dynamics. Use field insights to challenge assumptions, enrich competitive intelligence, and convert on-the-ground realities into measurable improvements in pricing, positioning, and compliance execution.


• Support new city launches by providing analytical and operational foundations during ramp-up, ensuring a strong value proposition from day one and a smooth handover to local P&L owners.


• Establish repeatable processes to capture competitor insights and publish focused deep-dives that influence pricing and marketplace strategy.


• Help bring new cities to life by providing analytical and operational support during launch and early ramp, ensuring strong foundations and a smooth handover to local P&L owners.

Requirements:

• Analytical and strategic thinking - you’re comfortable owning decisions from messy inputs and turning analysis into concrete action. 


• 3–6 years of experience in marketplace operations, strategy, business analytics, consulting, or similar.


• Professional fluency in both French and English.


• You are fluent in SQL and comfortable with spreadsheets/BI; you enjoy building lightweight automation to scale insights. Python is a plus.


• Strong stakeholder alignment skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with local P&L owners, central analytics, Product, Billing, Legal/Compliance, and Public Policy teams.


• Strong attention to detail and a process-driven, compliance-focused mindset.


• Strong ownership and accountability: You hold a high bar for decision quality, ensure transparency and rigor in how decisions are made, and follow through to operational execution.
