Interview Process

Step 1: Screening Interview with business Manager and / or Head of Talent of Talent-C

Step 2: Interview 1 with Client (client) – Cultural Fit & Screening with HR

About the mission / the role

We are looking for a strong Tech Lead with deep PHP expertise to help lead the migration and refactoring of an insurance platform.

You will work closely with a small team of engineers , guiding them technically while actively contributing to development. The goal is to modernize the platform architecture and progressively introduce AI-assisted development and agent-based workflows.

This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who enjoys building scalable systems, mentoring engineers, and experimenting with modern development approaches including AI-driven engineering.

A Tech Lead typically guides the technical direction of a project, mentor’s developers, and ensures high-quality architecture and code delivery.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

Lead and mentor a small team of engineers

Define and drive the technical architecture of the platform

Ensure code quality, best practices, and scalable design

Conduct code reviews and support developers in solving complex technical challenges

Platform Migration & Architecture

Lead the migration and refactoring of the insurance platform

Design and implement event-driven architectures

Ensure scalable and maintainable backend services

Hands-on Development

Contribute directly to development across the stack

Build and maintain backend services in PHP and Python

Participate in frontend development when needed (Vue.js)

AI-Driven Engineering

Promote the use of AI tools such as Claude in development workflows

Work with agentic engineering approaches

Encourage efficient development using AI-assisted coding

Be comfortable delegating certain coding tasks to AI where appropriate

Your profile

We are looking for a high-level engineer and technical leader, capable of balancing architecture, development, and team guidance.

Strong experience in PHP development

Experience as Tech Lead or Senior Engineer leading a small team

Experience with AWS and Serverless Architecture

Strong understanding of event-driven systems

Ability to work hands-on across the stack

Strong Plus

Solid Python backend experience

Full-stack experience

Vue.js experience

Experience with AI tools (Claude, Copilot, etc.)

Interest in AI-driven development and agentic workflows

Mindset

Comfortable not writing every line of code manually

Open to AI-augmented development

Pragmatic, product-oriented, and solution-driven

Strong Ownership and Leadership skills
