Data Scientist / AI

EIC (Experience Internship Canada) is looking for new talent to join its teams as a Data Scientist / AI Intern.

In this role, you will actively contribute to the collection, analysis, and use of company data.

You will also work on designing, evaluating, and improving predictive models and artificial intelligence solutions, with real responsibilities from the start of your internship.

The experience takes place in Canada, in our Montreal, Toronto, or Vancouver offices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Data Scientist / AI Intern at EIC, you will play a key role in leveraging data and developing solutions that support better decision-making.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Data collection and preparation: extract, clean, structure, and consolidate data from different sources.
• Data analysis: produce analyses to identify trends, behaviors, and insights relevant to decision-making.
• Modeling: design, train, and improve predictive models adapted to business challenges.
• Machine learning: contribute to developing models and algorithms used to automate or improve analytical processes.
• Model evaluation: measure the performance, accuracy, and reliability of developed models.
• Model optimization: test different approaches and parameters to improve model results.
• Production deployment: contribute to integrating and deploying models into environments used by internal teams.
• Model monitoring: analyze model performance over time and identify potential drift or areas for improvement.
• Reporting and visualization: build dashboards and materials that clearly communicate analytical results.
• Data quality: monitor the consistency and reliability of the data used for analysis and modeling.
• Technology watch: monitor developments in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence tools and methods.
• Collaboration with EIC teams: work closely with technical, sales, marketing, and operations teams to address their analytical needs.
• Process optimization: contribute to automating analyses, reporting, and tracking tools.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• You are currently studying data science, artificial intelligence, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
• You have a genuine interest in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence applications.
• You are comfortable using Python and data manipulation and analysis tools.
• You have knowledge of data science or machine learning libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or equivalent technologies.
• You understand the fundamental principles of model design, training, and evaluation.
• You are comfortable using SQL and working with databases.
• You are able to analyze results and draw relevant conclusions to address business challenges.
• You are rigorous, autonomous, organized, and comfortable solving complex problems.
• You are curious, proactive, and enjoy working as part of a team.
• You are interested in developing your skills in an international and multicultural environment.
• A good level of English may be required depending on the position and responsibilities.
