Software Developer

EIC (Experience Internship Canada) is looking for new talent to join its teams as a Software Developer Intern.

In this role, you will actively contribute to the design, development, maintenance, and improvement of the company’s software applications and digital solutions.

You will be involved in different stages of the development lifecycle, from technical design to testing and production release, with real responsibilities from the start of your internship.

The experience takes place in Canada, in our Montreal, Toronto, or Vancouver offices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Software Developer Intern at EIC, you will play a key role in the design, development, and evolution of our digital solutions.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Feature development: design, develop, and integrate new features based on product and technical requirements.
• Software design: contribute to the technical design of modules, components, and application architectures.
• Application development: implement robust, efficient features adapted to user needs.
• Software maintenance: improve existing applications and contribute to reducing technical debt.
• Code quality: write clear, structured, tested, and maintainable code in accordance with development standards.
• Bug fixing: identify, analyze, and resolve issues reported by users or detected during testing.
• Testing and validation: design and perform tests to ensure the reliability of developments before production release.
• Code review: participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback from the technical team.
• Performance optimization: analyze application performance and propose improvements when necessary.
• Technical documentation: document developments, technical decisions, and associated procedures.
• Collaboration with EIC teams: work closely with product, design, and technical teams to ensure consistent deliverables.
• Process optimization: contribute to improving development methods, technical tools, and project tracking.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• You are currently studying computer science, software engineering, software development, or a related field.
• You have a genuine interest in software development, programming, and new technologies.
• You are proficient in at least one programming language and comfortable using version control tools such as Git.
• You have a good understanding of software design principles, algorithms, and data structures.
• You are able to understand and contribute to an existing codebase.
• You value code quality, readability, and maintainability.
• You are rigorous, autonomous, organized, and able to analyze technical problems.
• You are curious, proactive, and enjoy working as part of a team.
• You are comfortable using office and collaborative tools.
• You are interested in developing your skills in an international and multicultural environment.
• A good level of English may be required depending on the position and responsibilities.
