General Manager - The Ritz Carlton Berlin

At the heart of Potsdamer Platz, moments from Tiergarten and the Brandenburg Gate, The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin brings together the glamour of Berlin’s Golden Age and the legendary service of The Ritz-Carlton.

Inspired by the city’s Art Deco heritage, the hotel offers elegant rooms and suites, an exclusive Club Lounge, distinctive culinary experiences through POTS restaurant and The Curtain Club, extensive meetings and events facilities, and a refined wellness experience.

We are seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead this landmark hotel into its next chapter.

As General Manager, you will hold overall responsibility for the strategic, commercial and operational leadership of The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin.

You will inspire a culture in which Ladies and Gentlemen are empowered to create memorable and highly personalised guest experiences, while delivering sustainable financial performance and strengthening the hotel’s position within Berlin’s competitive luxury market.

Working closely with ownership and Marriott’s regional and brand leadership teams, you will shape the long-term direction of the hotel, enhance its commercial positioning and ensure that every aspect of the operation reflects The Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards.

Your leadership will extend across the full hotel operation, with particular focus on:

• Elevating luxury service and guest experience


• Driving revenue, profitability and market share


• Strengthening the hotel’s positioning within Berlin and key international feeder markets


• Developing distinctive food, beverage and destination-led experiences


• Maximising the performance of rooms, events and the Club Lounge


• Building an engaged, high-performing and diverse leadership team


• Maintaining a strong and trusted partnership with ownership


• Protecting the reputation and standards of The Ritz-Carlton brand


• Leading with visible commitment to the hotel, its Ladies and Gentlemen, and the wider Berlin community

You will be an accomplished luxury hotel leader with a sophisticated understanding of the expectations of today’s global luxury traveller.

You will bring:

• Significant General Manager within an internationally recognised luxury hotel brand


• A proven record of leading a complex, high-profile city hotel


• Strong commercial judgement and evidence of delivering revenue, market-share and profit growth


• A deep understanding of luxury service, guest experience and brand execution


• The ability to balance operational discipline with creativity, innovation and local relevance


• Experience developing compelling food, beverage, events and destination programming


• Confidence working with ownership and senior regional stakeholders


• A visible and engaging leadership style, with a strong record of developing executive teams and future talent


• The presence and credibility to represent the hotel within Berlin’s business, cultural and luxury communities


• Fluency in English & German, other additional languages are beneficial
