Your Future Role:

Within the Center of Expertise (CoE) Industrial Relations, the Industrial Relations Expert Germany (f/m/d) supports Alstom’s transformation across all German sites. Working in close partnership with HR Business Partners, the role ensures that organizational changes, transformation initiatives, and workforce measures are designed and implemented in a legally compliant, socially responsible, and sustainable way within the German co-determination framework. • Support the design and implementation of transformation, restructuring and efficiency programs across German sites in close collaboration with local HR Business Partners and business leaders

  • Contribute to the preparation and negotiation of reconciliation-of-interests agreements, social plans, and other collective-law agreements in connection with organizational changes

  • Ensure constructive, transparent and forward-looking cooperation with employee representatives, enabling early identification and resolution of potential conflicts

  • Conduct industrial relations risk assessments for transformation projects and develop mitigation strategies and management decision proposals

  • Evaluate the legal feasibility and collective-law implications of planned workforce and organizational measures

  • Review company agreements, ensuring alignment with internal policies and German labour law

  • Strengthen the HR community through training and capability building on German labour law, transformation processes, and social dialogue

All About You

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • University degree in law or business law, ideally with a focus on labour law (minimum one state exam or equivalent qualification)

  • Several years of experience in labour law or HR with strong exposure to co-determination and works council negotiations in Germany

  • Excellent knowledge of German individual and collective labour law, including practical experience in transformation or restructuring contexts

  • Strong consulting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills in complex and sensitive environments

  • Ability to translate strategic business objectives into legally sound and socially sustainable solutions

  • Analytical and structured mindset combined with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach

  • Native German and excellent English communication skills

  • Willingness to travel to German Alstom sites when required
