Role Overview:  

At Huntsman, we are currently hiring an experienced technical leader to oversee the safe and reliable operation of all site assets, utilities, and infrastructure. Based at our Osnabrück site, this position plays a key role in supporting a stable, well‑established chemical manufacturing location.

In the role of Maintenance Manager, you will lead a dedicated team and drive the shift toward a more proactive, efficient, and modern way of working. The ideal candidate combines strong people leadership with solid technical expertise and the ability to ensure compliance in a complex industrial environment. This is a hands‑on role for someone who can stabilize the fundamentals, strengthen the team, and continuously improve site performance.

Role Responsibilities: 

As a Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for: 

• Lead and develop the Maintenance team, fostering a strong, collaborative, and performance‑driven culture.

• Ensure the safe and reliable operation of all site assets, utilities, and buildings.

• Manage and improve maintenance, inspection, and repair activities to maximize equipment availability.

• Drive the transition from reactive to proactive, LEAN‑oriented maintenance.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and operational regulations.

• Oversee planning, scheduling, and documentation of maintenance activities.

• Work closely with Production and other site functions to support stable operations and continuous improvement.

• Support engineering, reliability, and site improvement projects.

Experience and Competencies:  

What we are looking for: 

• Relevant academic background: degrees in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Process Engineering are strongly preferred.

• Several years of experience in maintenance management, preferably within the chemical or process industry.

• Strong leadership skills with experience developing teams and driving organizational change.

• Solid expertise in work planning, resource coordination, and technical problem‑solving.

• Good understanding of compliance requirements and the safe operation of industrial equipment.

• Fluency in both German and English.

• Hands‑on, decisive, and able to perform well under pressure.
