Junior IT-Product Manager

Our client operates Germany’s largest travel comparison portal, helping millions of users find the best deals every day. With a strong focus on speed, innovation, and user experience, their team is building a next-generation flight booking platform that allows travellers to search, compare, and book flights with ease.

To further enhance the platform’s performance and customer experience, they’re seeking a high-potential (Junior) Product Manager – Backend Flight to join their Berlin team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in restructuring backend processes to significantly improve response times and system efficiency. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, combining analytical thinking, technical understanding, and a hands-on mindset to drive impactful changes.

• A strong academic background in areas such as economics, mathematics, technology, or IT
  
• The ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and apply them effectively
  
• While prior experience in the online or e-commerce industry is beneficial, curiosity, an open mind, and creative problem-solving are paramount
  
• A basic understanding of business intelligence, data structures, or related fields (e.g., banking or analytics) is a plus
  
• A methodical, analytical approach to work, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on delivering solutions
  
• A hands-on, proactive attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for working in a collaborative team environment
  
  

Requirements

• Design and develop backend systems to automate processes and introduce innovative features for the client’s customers
  

• Ensure high-quality, reliable implementation through careful planning
  

• Collaborate with IT teams, analysts, and management to meet technical and business goals
  

• Improve the comparison platform’s data quality and pricing competitiveness
  

• Contribute to product strategy and technical roadmap development
  

• Manage quality assurance, testing, and product functionality
  

• Work with external partners, such as integrators and airlines, to support integrations and product development
