About the role:

As a Senior Mobile Engineer (Android/iOS), you will play a key role in building the next generation of Retail Media and sponsored advertising experiences within the Redcare mobile platform. Working as part of a cross-functional product team, you will design and build scalable mobile experiences that seamlessly integrate sponsored products, personalized recommendations, native advertising, and campaign-driven customer journeys while maintaining a best in class shopping experience.. You will have high visibility and a direct impact on how our Android ecosystem evolves as we scale. You'll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, Data Scientists, and Retail Media stakeholders to deliver performant, scalable, and customer-centric mobile solutions used by millions of customers across Europe.

About the Tech Stack:  Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, Android Jetpack (ViewModel, Navigation, DataStore), Coroutines & Flow, Hilt (Dagger), Retrofit/OkHttp, Ktor, Koin. Any cross platform is add-on

About your tasks:

• Lead the design and development of scalable, maintainable, and high-performing Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture.
• Define and evolve the Android application architecture, ensuring scalability, modularity, testability, and long-term maintainability.
• Drive the adoption and effective use of Jetpack Compose to build modern, declarative, reusable, and responsive user interfaces.
• Design and build reusable mobile components for Retail Media and advertising experiences, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, native placements, display banners, and personalized product recommendations.
• Integrate Retail Media placements naturally into product discovery, search, category, product detail, and other commerce journeys, balancing monetization objectives with a high-quality customer experience.
• Collaborate with backend, data, product, and ad server teams on APIs, tracking contracts, campaign metadata, targeting, attribution, and measurement requirements.
• Build flexible and configurable solutions that enable new ad formats, placements, campaigns, and monetization use cases to be introduced efficiently.
• Ensure best practices in modularization, code quality, testing, and performance optimization, define and evolve the app’s architecture, ensuring scalability and long-term maintainability
• Build reusable mobile components for Retail Media experiences, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, product recommendations, banners.
• Ensure engineering best practices across modularization, code quality, dependency management, observability, testing, security, and performance optimization.
• Improve CI/CD reliability, build performance, and release processes. 
• Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for architecture decisions, features, and technical processes
• Review and guide critical technical and architectural decisions, contributing to engineering standards and best practices across teams.
• Improve app stability, performance, and overall technical health.  
• Reduce technical debt strategically while enabling product teams through platform improvements. 
• Implement and evolve feature flags, experimentation frameworks, and A/B testing to validate new customer and advertising experiences through measurable outcomes.

About you:

• Extensive experience in Android development with strong expertise in Kotlin.
• Deep understanding of the Android SDK and modern Android development practices.
• Hands-on experience with: Jetpack Compose
  • Coroutines & Flow
  • Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger)
  • REST APIs (Retrofit/OkHttp)
• Strong knowledge of clean architecture principles, design patterns, and modularization
• Experience with testing (JUnit, Espresso, MockK) and writing maintainable, testable code
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows
• Proven ability to take ownership of complex projects and deliver high-quality results independently
• Strong focus on performance, scalability, and user experience
• You collaborate effectively across teams and bring strong debugging and performance optimization skills. 
• Experience working in Retail Media, AdTech, MarTech large-scale e-commerce platforms.
