About the Position:
As a Senior Solution Architect SAP HCM, you will be a key technical leader, responsible for driving the successful implementation of SAP SuccessFactors solutions. Your expertise in Solution Architecture will be critical in defining and governing the overall technical blueprint, integration strategy, and deployment approach for complex projects. You will lead technical workstreams focused on Integration Architecture (SAP CPI), ensuring seamless connectivity between SAP SuccessFactors and systems like SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP Payroll, and other third-party applications. A core part of your role will involve defining and executing Data Migration Strategies, ensuring data quality and compliance. You will provide technical guidance, mentor teams, and collaborate closely with customer IT leadership and business stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by delivering robust, scalable SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions that align with best practices and drive customer success.
Requirements:
Proven expertise in solution architecture for complex enterprise systems.
In-depth knowledge of and practical experience with SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) modules.
Strong integration architecture skills, particularly with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).
Expertise in defining and executing robust data migration strategies.
Extensive hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors implementations.
Strong solution architecture and problem-solving skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to lead geographically distributed teams.
Strong project and risk management skills.
Customer-oriented mindset with experience in consulting.
Ability to work successfully under tight project deadlines.
Technical Leadership
Provide functional leadership for technical workstreams—Integration, Migration, Security, Identity Management and Testing—in SAP SuccessFactors implementation projects, including orchestrating and coordinating workstream team members.
Define and govern the technical architecture, integration strategy and deployment approach.
Provide technical guidance and functional coaching to consultants, developers and integration specialists.
Ensure that technical solutions comply with SAP best practices and customer requirements.
Integration Design & Development
Design and manage integrations between SAP SuccessFactors and:
SAP S/4HANA
SAP ECC
SAP Payroll systems
Third-party systems in the areas of HR, Finance and Identity Management
Provide functional leadership for development using the SAP Integration Suite (CPI), APIs, OData services and middleware technologies.
Review and approve technical designs and integration specifications.
Data Migration
Define the data migration strategy and approach.
Provide functional leadership for data extraction, transformation, validation and loading activities.
Ensure data quality and compliance with project-specific standards.
Support data reconciliation and migration testing.
Security & Identity Management
Design and implement security and authorization concepts.
Support the configuration of Role-Based Permissions (RBP).
Manage integrations with SAP IAS, SAP IPS and Single Sign-On solutions.
Ensure compliance with security and data protection requirements.
Test Management & Deployment
Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and performance testing.
Provide functional leadership in resolving technical errors and defects.
Create and implement cutover and deployment plans.
Support go-live and hypercare activities.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with the customer’s IT management and business departments.
Present technical solutions and recommendations.
Manage technical risks, issues and dependencies.
Participate in project governance and steering committee meetings as required.
Your Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a comparable field.
SAP certifications in SuccessFactors and/or integration technologies are an advantage.
Very good command of German and English. (German: C2 level; English: C1 level)
At least eight years of experience in SAP implementation projects.
At least five years of experience in technical SAP SuccessFactors implementations.
Experience leading technical workstreams in multiple end-to-end SuccessFactors projects.
Experience in consulting firms or system integration organizations.
