Supervisor R&D Product Development Fine Pitch Core Portfolio

We are hiring a Supervisor R&D Product Development to join an Industrial Automation & Electrification business in Adelberg, Germany.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who wants to combine people leadership with hands-on technical engineering, leading a small R&D team while remaining actively involved in product development, sustaining engineering and technical problem-solving.

Key responsibilities:
• Lead, coach and develop a team of 5 engineering professionals
• Remain hands-on in product design, engineering changes and technical reviews
• Drive VAVE, cost optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support sustaining engineering, qualification and product lifecycle activities
• Work closely with Manufacturing on DFM, productivity and root-cause investigations
• Coordinate priorities across R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and Product Management

What we’re looking for:
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related Engineering
• Strong R&D/Product Development or Sustaining Engineering experience
• Previous leadership experience within a technical/engineering environment
• Strong manufacturing and structured problem-solving knowledge
• Experience with VAVE, DFM and engineering changes
• CAD experience; Creo is highly desirable
• Fluent German and English
• Connector, stamping or moulding experience is advantageous but not essential
