Teamlead Sales - Industrial Automation

AVENTICS GmbH, part of Emerson, is seeking a Team Lead Sales - Industrial Automation to drive regional business growth while leading and developing a field sales team across Northern Germany. In this role, you will combine hands-on customer engagement with people leadership, working closely with Technical Inside Sales, Engineering, and other business functions to deliver customer-focused automation solutions. Reporting directly to the Manager Industrial Automation, you will play a key part in executing the regional sales strategy and expanding Emerson's presence within industrial automation markets. This role will be remote, travelling frequently to meet customers and colleagues in the different German offices within this Business Unit.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Lead, coach, and develop a regional field sales team to achieve individual and business objectives.
• Build strong relationships with existing customers while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
• Provide technical sales support and develop tailored automation solutions that address customer challenges.
• Negotiate and close commercial agreements within the assigned sales territory.
• Lead cross-functional sales initiatives with a particular focus on Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and the Emerson Automation Solutions portfolio.
• Coordinate sales activities for an assigned industry segment across the DACH region.
• Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with Sales Management, Engineering, and Technical Inside Sales teams to execute strategic business plans.
• Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information using CRM and sales management tools.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience as a people leader, with a proven track record of leading field sales teams or regional sales activities.
• Strong customer orientation, with a keen ability to identify customer needs, translate them into value-based solutions and present them in a convincing and comprehensive manner.
• Experience using CRM systems and sales management tools.
• A structured, proactive, and results-oriented approach to work.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
• Professional proficiency in both German and English, written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Experience in industrial automation, pneumatics, motion control, or related technologies.
• Knowledge of IIoT solutions and connected industrial applications.
• Experience working within a matrix organization and collaborating across multiple business functions.
• Understanding of the manufacturing, process, or industrial sectors within the DACH region.
