Arbeitsbeschreibung - Working Student (m/f/d) - Supply Chain Management

Your mission

You support the build-up of supply chain, logistics and order fulfillment processes, including material flows and supplier interfaces.
You develop warehouse concepts for the safe and efficient handling of batteries and materials.
You research logistics and storage requirements for batteries and hazardous materials, including relevant standards and regulations.
You improve and document processes, SOPs and internal workflows.
You support end-to-end operations, from customer requests and S&OP planning through production to outbound logistics.
You prepare and follow up on meetings, including the creation of presentations, reports and decision briefs.
You support cross-functional initiatives related to operational excellence, safety and scalability.

Your profile

You are currently enrolled in a Master’s programme in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with a focus on production technology, or a comparable field.
Ideally, you have gained initial practical experience in logistics, supply chain management, operations or manufacturing through an internship or working student position.
You have strong analytical skills, work in a structured manner and are able to manage multiple tasks independently.
You are curious, hands-on and motivated to actively shape and improve processes rather than just execute tasks.
You communicate fluently in English; German is a plus.
You are available to work 15–20 hours per week for at least 12 months and are willing to work on-site at our Aachen office.

About us

cylib is a German battery recycling company that emerged from research at RWTH Aachen University in 2022. With an integrated network of sites, we bring together research and development at our headquarters in Aachen, dismantling and mechanical processing in Wernberg-Köblitz, and hydrometallurgical processing in Dormagen (in ramp-up). Our goal: building a resilient European value chain through the recovery of high-quality materials for sustainable batteries.

With our innovative OLiC technology (Optimized Lithium and Graphite Recovery), we recover over 90% of the contained raw materials – with a CO₂ footprint that is 80% lower than conventional processes. Towards the realization of a true circular economy in the European market.
