At our Excelitas site in Feldkirchen, we develop and produce highly complex optomechatronic components, assemblies and systems.

Our stated goal is to provide our customers and the end users of our products with the technological prerequisites and the edge they need to achieve long-term success in their respective markets and applications.

Our solutions lead, for example, to better medical treatment and more accurate diagnostics, further developments in the market for smartphones and display technology, reliable and robust solutions in the aerospace sector, and the development of completely new applications and areas of application.

In addition, the site is the centre of excellence for high-precision mechanics, the assembly of highly specialised components and diamond turning.

Main responsibilities:

• International sales of standard and custom lenses, laser optics, machine vision, and precision optical systems


• Strategic business development through the acquisition of new customers, applications, and projects


• Identification and development of new markets and business opportunities


• Continuous and comprehensive support for existing customers, sales partners, and new customers in the assigned sales region (e.g., EMEA)


• Responsibility for the entire sales process, from the initial customer contact to contract signing


• Close collaboration with development, applications, product management, and project management


• Negotiating with decision-makers and management


• Representing the company at international trade shows, conferences, and customer events

Requirements:

• In-depth technical knowledge in the fields of semi-backend, optics, laser optics, or machine vision


• Excellent business acumen as well as strong negotiation and closing skills


• A degree in a technical or business field or a comparable qualification


• At least 6 years of relevant professional experience in technical sales or business development


• Experience in an international customer and project environment


• Fluency in German and English


• Entrepreneurial mindset, a high degree of initiative, and a strong focus on customers and solutions


• Willingness to travel internationally


• Termporary position (max. 24 months) to cover parental leave, with the potential for unlimited employment


• Part-time position with up to 34 hours per week
