Job Description - Business Risk Specialist (12-month contract)

Your new company
You will be joining a leading international financial institution with a strong presence in Hong Kong, known for its robust risk and compliance framework within private banking and wealth management.

Your new role

Support business risk and control functions across private banking / wealth management.
Perform risk assessments and monitor key controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
Contribute to investment suitability reviews and client risk profiling processes.
Support compliance reviews, audit activities, and internal investigations
Identify control gaps and recommend improvements to enhance risk management frameworks.
Work closely with front office, compliance, and control teams on risk-related matters.
Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements (e.g. SFC / HKMA).

What you'll need to succeed

Minimum 3 years of experience in risk, compliance, audit, or relevant experience within banking or audit firms.
Investment suitability experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and control frameworks.
Good analytical and stakeholder management skills.
Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
