About the Role • Support the actuarial valuation and analysis for financial reporting under IFRS 17 and RBC basis, produce the financial metrics, and regular management reporting to assist the financial management • Support the valuation assumptions for pricing of Medical and Non-Medical packaged products and risk assessment. Contribute toward the growth strategy of AIA in Hong Kong.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Actuarial Valuation
Support IFRS 17 financial reporting and RBC statutory reporting, ensure detailed analysis on variances in key financials and identify key drivers underlying the financial results; lead auditor engagement for regular reporting
Support Group reporting and collaborate with Group to ensure accurate reporting and smooth integration to the Group system
Identify opportunity to improve the efficiency of the reporting process through operational improvement and automation
Financial Management
Support the annual budget exercise and regular forecast of financial KPIs, highlight the risks and opportunities in meeting Group's financial objectives
Support the scenario analysis in the assessment of business initiatives
Governance & Controls
Maintain process and controls of key actuarial functions
Maintain audit trail of actuarial valuation to meet internal and external requirements
Collaboration
Provide supervision and mentorship to subordinates to ensure delivery of financial reporting in an accurate and timely manner
Collaborate with cross-functional units including Claims, Underwriting, Sales and Health Provision
Others:
Ability to work independently, delegate tasks to subordinates, provide supervision and guidance to subordinates to ensure delivery of reporting, management information and analysis in an accurate and timely manner.
Liaise with multi-functional units including claims, underwriting, sales and health provision unit.
Establishing oneself as a thought leader in the actuarial field through industry publications, speaking engagements, etc.
Minimum Job Requirements:
University degree in Actuarial Science or related fields
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
Good progress in Actuarial professional examination
Knowledge in general insurance products, HKRBC and IFRS 17
Proficient in MS Office and data analysis techniques
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
Others:
