Community Healthcare Services - Community Nursing Services / Community Geriatric Assessment Team

Pay  : HK$64,518 to HK$89,978 (HGPS point 26 to 33A) per month including Monthly Allowance

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and supervise a nursing team within a clinical unit.

2. Develop professional nursing standard, care protocol and clinical pathway.

3. Provide complex patient care in a specialty/subspecialty.

4. Acts as a resource and referral agent on clinical expertise.

5. Manage nurse-led services to provide specialized patient care.

6. Train and supervise nurse learners in advanced nursing specialty training.

7. Initiate and participate in evidenced-based practice and nursing research.

8. Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the service.

Entry Requirements

1. Holder of a valid Registered Nurse practicing certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong.

2. Qualification in advanced nursing specialty*.

3. A degree in Nursing or equivalent.

4. 5 years or more post-registration experience in healthcare, of which at least 3 years is in the related specialty.

*  Qualification in advanced nursing specialty refers to recognized post-registration certificate, or post-graduate certificate/diploma course in nursing specialty, or Master in nursing^# or related discipline with considerable coverage on a relevant nursing specialty.

^# Only post-registration Master in nursing programmes are accepted

2. Master degree in nursing or related discipline.

4. People skills to network & work with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, community organizations and general public.

5. Uphold clinical standards and patient safety across all practices.

6. Play a key role to drive quality improvement.

7. Experience in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and research activities.

8. Problem-solving ability.

9. Teaching, coaching & counselling skills.
