Advanced Practice Nurse (General) (Central Nursing Department) (For serving HA staff only)

Pay

HK$64,518 to HK$89,978 (HGPS Pt 26 – 33A) per month including Monthly Allowance

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities

1.

Coordinate and facilitate in development of professional nursing standard, care protocol, clinical pathway and service model.

2.

Acts as a resource and referral agent.

3.

Coordinate continuous nursing education and relevant training to uphold the professional standard.

4.

Coordinate and support seminars / workshops / training activities for nurses and Patient Care Assistants.

5.

Manage resource and assist to manage budget plan if necessary.

6.

Coordinate and support initiatives in evidence-based practice and nursing research.

7.

Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the service and different projects in providing the patient-centered care for continuous quality improvement.

8.

Assist in hospital bed coordination and management.

9.

Coordinate smart hospital and nursing informatics initiatives.

10.

Perform related duties of different teams in Central Nursing Department as required.

11.

Provide instruction / coaching to subordinates.

12.

Provide other duties as assigned by supervisor.

13.

Deploy to work in clinical areas if required.

Entry Requirements

1.

Holder of a valid Registered Nurse practicing certificate (Part I) issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong.

2.

Qualification in advanced nursing specialty *.

3.

A degree in Nursing or equivalent.

4.

5 years or more post-registration experience in healthcare, of which at least 3 years is in the related specialty.

*

Qualification in advanced nursing specialty refers to recognized post-registration certificate, or post-graduate certificate/diploma course in nursing specialty, or Master in nursing^# or related discipline with considerable coverage on a relevant nursing specialty.

^# Only post-registration Master in nursing programmes are accepted
