Advanced Practice Nurse (General) (Paediatrics), HKCH

1.

Lead and supervise a nursing team within a clinical unit.

2.

Develop professional nursing standard, care protocol and clinical pathway.

3.

Provide complex patient care in respective clinical specialty / department stated above.

4.

Acts as a resource and referral agent on clinical expertise.

5.

Manage nurse-led services to provide specialized patient care.

6.

Train and supervise nurse learners in advanced nursing specialty training.

7.

Initiate and participate in evidenced-based practice and nursing research.

8.

Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the service.

Demonstrated competency requirements and leadership ability of an APN.

2.

Master degree in nursing or related discipline.

3.

Contribution to professional development including research/evidence-based practice, teaching and training.

Planning, organizing & evaluation skills

6.

People skills to network and work with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, community organizations and general public

Teaching, coaching & counseling skills

Experience in Child Assessment Service.
