AI Strategy & Solutions Project Manager

The hiring company is a specialist management consulting firm partnering with leading financial institutions across Asia. For this assignment, they are supporting one of the largest global insurance & asset management group with a strong presence across APAC.

A regional business is looking for a senior AI consultant to help shape and deliver AI, GenAI, and advanced analytics initiatives across Asia. This role will support both regional office functions and selected business units, with a focus on practical delivery, capability building, and scalable AI adoption.

You will help define the roadmap for AI solutions, lead priority use cases, build reusable technical assets, and support teams across multiple markets. The role also involves mentoring local teams, developing agentic AI frameworks, and helping establish strong standards for responsible and effective AI use.

Job responsibilities:

• Define AI solution requirements and roadmap across functions such as Procurement, HR, Finance, and Technology.
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/GenAI and advanced analytics use cases.
• Run workshops and training on GenAI, prompt engineering, and agentic AI.
• Build reusable tools, reference architectures, and best practices for scalable delivery.
• Support data science capability building across Asia through coaching and technical guidance.
• Help local teams deliver AI solutions with measurable business impact.
• Support AI platform and MLOps design where needed.

The requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• 8+ years' experience in AI, data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics.
• Strong understanding of LLM limitations and mitigation, including grounding, citations, refusal, and human review.
• Hands-on experience with GenAI and prompt engineering.
• Proven experience building agentic workflows with orchestration and tool integration.
• Strong Python, SQL, and machine learning framework skills.
• Experience with cloud AI platforms such as Azure Foundry, AWS SageMaker, AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI, or Databricks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across cultures and countries.
• Fluent English required; additional Asian languages are a plus.
