Asian Securities Firm - Legal Counsel (up to HKD 1mil)

The Company

Our client is an Asia-based securities firm with a strong track record across capital markets. The platform covers both investment banking and private banking businesses, supported by a collaborative and dynamic team environment.

The Role

• Legal advisory & support: Provide practical legal guidance across day-to-day business activities, helping teams understand risks and make informed decisions.
• Document drafting & review: Prepare, review, and handle a wide range of agreements and documents, ensuring they are clear, accurate, and aligned with business needs.
• External counsel coordination: Work closely with external lawyers and advisors, managing instructions, reviewing feedback, and ensuring timely delivery.
• Dispute and case support: Assist in handling legal matters and disputes, coordinating internal information and external support where needed.
• Regulatory & external liaison: Support communication with regulators and relevant authorities, ensuring requests and enquiries are handled smoothly.
• Special account handling: Oversee and support sensitive client account matters, ensuring proper handling and coordination with relevant teams.
• Management reporting: Provide updates and insights on key legal matters to senior stakeholders when required.

Your Profile

• Qualified lawyer with around 3-5 years of PQE
• Experience working in financial services or a banking is preferred
• Strong drafting skills with the ability to review and simplify legal terms
• Comfortable working with different stakeholders across business and support functions
• Able to manage multiple matters independently and prioritise effectively
• Good problem-solving skills with a practical and business-oriented mindset
• Strong communication skills and able to explain legal concepts clearly
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to handle sensitive matters with discretion
