Job Description - Assistant Accountant - AP - AR

About the company

A reputable financial services company offers a diverse range of services. In line with its ongoing growth and adaptation to market demands, the company is seeking an Assistant Accountant specializing in accounts receivable / payable to support its Finance Operations Department.

About the role

As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a vital role in conducting data entry, accounts receivable / payable and assisting in month-end closing.

Responsibilities

Oversee accounting operations with a strong emphasis on accounts receivable / payable
Address payment and receipt inquiries from diverse stakeholders
Prepare and validate collection reports to ensure accuracy
Assist with month-end closing processes and prepare journal entries
Manage a high volume of data entry transactions efficiently
Contribute to various ad-hoc projects to support departmental initiatives

Requirements

At least 1 year of relevant experience in accounts receivable / accounts payable
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functional formulas
Strong ability to manage high volumes of data input efficiently
Fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese
Immediate availability or a short notice period preferred
