Job Description - Assistant Manager, Research

Role Objective:

We are seeking a Manager/Assistant Manager to join our Hong Kong Research team.  Reporting to the Senior Director, Research, you will be responsible for collecting and maintaining high-quality data, transforming it into compelling insights on the Hong Kong real estate market. The work will support strategic decision-making, client engagements, and a deeper understanding of market trends and outlook.

What this job involves:

  • Collect data, maintain databases, and monitor key property market indicators.
  • Monitor economic trends and their impact on the property market.
  • Develop and maintain forecasting models for key real estate indicators; generate insights and independently produce specialised research reports.
  • Support business pitches with market insights and data analysis.
  • Present market insights at client and internal forums.
  • Handle media and client inquiries.
  • Assist in consulting projects.
  • Contribute to research projects in the Asia-Pacific region and globally.
  • Responsibilities may also include leading projects, mentoring staff, and driving output improvements, depending on the role level.

Sound like the job you’re looking for? Here's what we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Real Estate, Economics, Urban Studies, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in research or consulting, ideally within real estate or economics. Candidates with less experience may be considered for a Senior Analyst position.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), with the ability to explain insights clearly.
  • Meticulous with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including quantitative analysis.
  • A collaborative team player who works efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in standard PC applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential. Experience with statistical software, data visualisation tools, and AI applications relevant to real estate research is highly valued.
  • Less experience could be considered as senior analyst

On-site –Hong Kong, SAR, China
