Assistant Officer (Sports Development), Sports Development of Dean of Students Office (2 positions)

Job Posting Details

The appointee will report to the Head (Sports Development) and be responsible for the provision of instruction and services relating to sports and providing support to the Student-Athlete Learning Support and Admission Scheme:

• prepare online teaching and video resources for sports skill classes;
• organize sports workshops, fitness training activities and sports team training sessions;
• create digital content for websites, apps or other social media platforms;
• Coordinate and provide administrative support for sports projects, courses, and activities, including budgeting, scheduling, project implementation, and promotions;
• Liaise with schools and departments to provide necessary academic support to student-athletes, as well as coordinate events, workshops, and training to facilitate their well-being and career advancement; and
• perform any other relevant duties as assigned.

Shift duty and work on weekends and public holidays are required.

Applicants should have a recognized degree (preferably in web design, computer science, multimedia or sports related disciplines with specialty in media production) and strong communication skills with good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Putonghua.  The appointee should have experience in video production for online teaching in sports.  Proficiency in video production and video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator will have the advantage.  Working outside normal office hours will be required. (Duration: 1 year)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
