Job Description - Assistant Vice President, Insurance Sales

Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme (“MRC”) for Hong Kong

The Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme is a framework to facilitate Authorized Institutions (“AIs”) to bilaterally obtain reference information during their recruitment process for certain positions, such that misconduct information in an individual’s previous employments can be provided to AIs to inform their employment decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Implement Bancassurance marketing and sales strategies to meet sales targets.
• Analyze market environment and competitor strategies in order to recommend appropriate business tactics to frontline staff.
• Drive relevant marketing activities according to branch / district characteristic to achieve aggressive insurance sales targets.
• Provide professional Bancassurance service to customers for meeting customers’ financial & service need.
• Provide sales support for distribution channel and enhancing sales momentum.
• Assist Branch Manager to build and maintain a high quality team with synergy, to coach and motivate the Relationship Manager team to exceed individual sales and business targets.
• Provide training and coaching to Insurance Sales Manager and bank staff on insurance selling skills & knowledge.
• Ensure insurance selling are fully complied with regulatory requirements and internal selling procedures.
• Comply with anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing controls in accordance with regulatory standards and CNCBI policies.
• Establishes oneself as a trusted advisor by participating in customer’s decision-making process, as appropriate.

Requirements:

• Preferably a Degree holder or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years relevant Bancassurance experience in sales and marketing
• Possess IIQAS for selling insurance products; Possession of CFP / CFA / FLMI qualification is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge in insurance products, services and investment market.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

• Preferably possess/obtain Core or Professional level of qualification under the HKMA Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) on Retail Wealth Management (RWM).

• Possess qualifications for relevant insurance licenses registration.
• Preferably possess qualifications for relevant investment licenses registration.
