Job Description - Associate, Cash Equities Trade Settlement, Top-Tier Securities Brokerage

Your new company

A Top-Tier Securities Brokerage is now looking for a Senior Analyst to join their post-trade settlement team.

Your new role

  • Oversee and preform daily settlement processes for cash equities post-trade activities across APAC markets, with primary responsibility for the Hong Kong market and supporting coverage for ANZ, Singapore, and Japan.

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of client trades, including submission to custodians and providing operational support to team members.

  • Manage monthly commission claims and perform reconciliations across multiple markets.

  • Process trade allocations, including internal handling such as issuing confirmations and uploading trades to clearing banks.

  • Investigate and resolve workflow issues by coordinating with internal teams, external parties, and clients; escalate unresolved matters to management when necessary.

  • Prepare and submit daily, monthly, and annual reports related to trades, tax, and regulatory requirements to exchanges and regulators.

  • Generate and maintain management reports and statistics, including trade allocations, pre-matching rates, and fail rates.

  • Drive process improvements by implementing new procedures, enhancing systems, and promoting higher straight-through processing (STP) rates.
  • Take ownership of assigned departmental projects, including user acceptance testing (UAT) and system enhancement initiatives.


What you'll need to succeed

  • At least 5years of experience working in post trade and settlement, focusing on cash equities products

  • Familiarity with sell-side and/or buy-side trading floor environments and support functions

  • Experience with middle and/or back-office processing systems

  • Knowledge and understanding of the on-exchange cash equities trading and settlement

  • Knowledge of settlement lifecycle of APAC markets

  • Experience of Project handling and UAT

  • Strong verbal and written skills for communicating with internal/external clients
