Lalamove is seeking a strategic Research candidate to join our BI and Research team. This role supports the Research & Strategy function by conducting market, on ground field research, user research, and industry research to inform business decisions. The position is execution-heavy and works closely with senior researchers, strategy, and leadership teams to deliver structured insights.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Global Macro & Market Research
- Track global and regional economic, regulatory, and geopolitical trends impacting logistics and on-demand delivery
- Support regional market assessments and expansion opportunities
- Conduct scenario planning to anticipate potential market disruptions
- 2. Competitive & Industry Intelligence
- Monitor competitor offerings, pricing, partnerships, and funding activity
- Research logistics, delivery, transportation, and adjacent industries to identify trends and disruptive innovations
- Maintain trackers and share actionable insights across teams
- 3. User & Field Research
- Conduct user interviews, surveys, and field visits to understand customer behaviors, needs, and pain points
- Observe and gather insights from real-world logistics and delivery operations
- Translate qualitative and quantitative findings into actionable recommendations for product, operations, and strategy teams
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
- 1–7 years of experience in consulting, research, business analysis, strategy, market intelligence, or related roles
- Strong desk research, field interview and data synthesis skills
- Interest in logistics, transportation, tech platforms, or marketplace businesses
- Solid analytical thinking with attention to detail
- Clear written communication and ability to summarize insights
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and learning new industries quickly
