AVP/ VP, Equity Analyst, Greater China Equities - Established Asset Management firm

Our client, a renowned asset management firm, is seeking a highly motivated Equity Analyst to join its dynamic and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct rigorous fundamental research on potential investment opportunities, encompassing industry dynamics, share‑price drivers, catalysts, risks, ESG factors, and return potential, supported by clear analysis and valuation frameworks.
2. Translate research into actionable investment recommendations, supported by robust financial models and scenario analysis.
3. Present company and industry insights to internal stakeholders, articulating investment merits, risks, and valuation with clarity and precision.
4. Actively engage in team discussions on stock ideas and portfolio themes, constructively challenging assumptions and conclusions.
5. Contribute to portfolio construction and risk management, including position sizing and risk/return evaluation.
6. Collaborate with sector and regional teams to leverage specialist expertise across the equity platform.
7. Support client and marketing initiatives, including drafting and coordinating stakeholder communications and preparing marketing materials.

Qualifications:

1. 5–7 years of experience as an equity research analyst, with a proven track record at established buy‑side institutions.
2. Strong research expertise across at least two industries within China/Hong Kong equity markets; prior coverage of China A‑shares and Taiwan markets preferred. Willingness to expand into additional sectors and markets as required.
3. Reliable, diligent, resourceful, entrepreneurial, and self‑driven, with the adaptability to thrive in dynamic environments and the willingness to take on additional initiatives
4. Demonstrated alignment with the firm’s values and culture, consistently upholding transparency, integrity, and trustworthiness.
5. Highly collaborative, with a passion for investment and the ability to challenge and be challenged constructively.
6. Strong academic credentials; CFA Charterholder preferred.
