AVP, Wholesale Wealth Management Compliance (Financial Institution Department)

Responsibilities:

1. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all regulations set by the SFC, HKMA, and other relevant regulatory bodies for Wing Lung Bank’s wholesale wealth management business and platform.
2. Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments on products and services under Wing Lung Bank’s wholesale wealth management business and platform to ensure their suitability and provide effective risk management recommendations.
3. Policy Development and Implementation: Participate in the development and updating of internal policies and procedures related to Wing Lung Bank’s wholesale wealth management business and platform to ensure their effective implementation.
4. Training and Education: Provide regular compliance training to frontline teams and other relevant personnel involved in Wing Lung Bank’s wholesale wealth management business to enhance their understanding and compliance with the latest regulations.
5. Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the daily operations of Wing Lung Bank’s wholesale wealth management business and platform to ensure all transactions meet compliance requirements; regularly report compliance status to senior management.
6. Customer Protection: Ensure fair treatment of customers, including providing appropriate product information and ensuring that product recommendations on the platform are based on clients’ financial conditions and investment objectives.
7. Collaboration and Communication: Maintain close collaboration with other departments such as legal and risk management to jointly uphold the bank’s compliance culture.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, or a related field.
2. At least 8 years of experience in compliance roles within financial institutions, with preference given to those with experience in distribution business compliance.
3. Familiarity with Hong Kong’s financial market laws and regulations, particularly those concerning distribution business.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively communicating with employees at various levels.
6. Good command of English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
