Business Development Manager - Logistics

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive new business growth while leading the successful implementation of logistics and supply chain solutions. This hybrid role combines strategic sales, customer solution design, project management, and operational coordination
The successful candidate will identify and develop new business opportunities, manage customer relationships, oversee onboarding and implementation projects, and work closely with operations teams to deliver exceptional service and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow 3PL logistics business within Hong Kong and the Greater China region.
- Identify, qualify, and generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, cold calling, and industry engagement.
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Understand customer supply chain requirements and develop tailored logistics solutions.
- Prepare RFQs, tenders, proposals, business cases, and customer presentations.
- Negotiate commercial terms and contracts to secure profitable business.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Drive cross-selling opportunities across the company's logistics, warehousing, transportation, and related services.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and CRM database.
Operational Improvement & Customer Management
- Analyze logistics KPIs including delivery performance, inventory accuracy, cost efficiency, and service levels.
- Identify operational improvement opportunities and recommend practical solutions.
- Support SOP development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage vendor and supplier relationships to ensure service quality and cost effectiveness.
- Conduct regular business reviews with customers and maintain long-term partnerships.
- Resolve customer issues and escalate operational challenges when necessary.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Provide market insights and recommendations to support business growth strategies.
- Participate in industry conferences, networking events, and trade exhibitions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in 3PL, logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, or contract logistics.
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or key account management.
- Experience managing customer implementation projects and operational transitions.
- Strong understanding of warehousing, transportation, distribution, and supply chain operations.
- Experience preparing tenders, proposals, and commercial presentations.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
- Familiarity with WMS, TMS, or other logistics systems is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
