Caretaker

Quarry Bay School is looking to appoint a Caretaker. The Caretaker is an important and highly valued member of the Quarry Bay School Kindergarten community, and is a visible role in the school. The Caretaker deals with students, parents, staff and visitors daily. The Caretaker is a team leadership position, leading the school’s amah team.  The Caretaker also works alongside the amahs, for example in preparing for events, or when there are staff shortages, to carry out various duties including cleaning.

鰂魚涌小學幼稚園有意聘請校工主管一名, 此職位是幼稚園裡一個很重要的成員，每天接觸不同學生、 家長、 員工和訪客，管理校工團隊，有需要時，亦需參與及履行各項職責包括清潔。

The Caretaker must be able to:

• Communicate well with all people (Both English and Chinese desirable)

• Plan in advance (e.g., be proactive to make early preparation for events)

• Be prepared to be involves in physical works, such as: cleaning, moving furniture, simple maintenance tasks 
  參與履行各項職責包括清潔及搬傢俱等

• Be a quick learner, good listener and observer 
  在學習上容易掌握，是一位良好的傾聽者和觀察者

• Build a strong and collaborative team
  能建立一個積極和協作的團隊

• Give clear work instructions to team members and lead the team well
  帶領校工團隊，能給予成員明確的工作要求

• Be fair to team members
  對下屬公平公正

• Maintain the high standards of campus cleanliness and tidiness
  保持校園一個高標準的整潔度

• Hardworking, take responsibility and initiative with a ‘can do’ attitude
  勤奮及有責任感

• Be punctual, professional, diligent and polite
  準時、性格開朗、有禮貌       

• Monitor the school premises and take appropriate actions as needed 
  監察學校情況，有需要時採取相應措施

School or relevant working experience preferred.
有學校或相關工作經驗者優先。

Other duties of the Caretaker include:

• Supervise and assist the day-to-day operations of a team of site staff to keep the school environment clean and safe
  監督及協助一組清潔工 / 雜工的日常運作以保持學校環境整潔及安全

• Timely reporting of school facilities and security-related siutations
  適時報告與學校設施及保安有關的情況

• Be able to use simple working tools
  能夠使用簡單的維修工作工具

• Monitor facilities for maintenance
  能夠使用簡單的維修工作工具

• Arrangement of facilities for school activities
  負責校內常規活動的場地和設施安排

• Set up and break down venues (such as meeting rooms or hall) for school events such as assemblies, meetings, concerts and fairs
  當學校有活動時需要做設置和拆除工作

• Assist amahs to prepare and serve tea and coffee to visitors and cleaning up as required
  當有訪客時協助清潔工/雜工準備和服務茶和咖啡和清理(如有需要)

• Maintain adequate level of supplies for refreshment services
  保持足夠清潔用品和供應茶點服務

• Assist in gardening work
  協助園藝工作

• Must be caring and patient, enjoy working in a school environment with young age children
  有愛心和耐性，喜歡在學校環境與幼童工作

Benefits 待遇：

• 15 days Annual Leave, Medical & Dental Insurance, MPF
  15天有薪年假，醫療及牙科福利，強積金。

• Saturday, Sundays and Public Holidays Off.
  星期六，日及公眾假期休息。

• Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00pm
  工作時間：星期一至五；上午7時半至下午5時。

ESF Quarry Bay School Kindergarten serves approximately 200 children aged 3 to 5. The school follows the IB Primary Years Programme and is located in Quarry Bay, Hong Kong Island.
