Job Description - Club Chef / Executive Sous Chef


Shangri-La Group - Hong Kong Region

We are looking for a Club Chef / Executive Sous Chef based at The Aberdeen Marina Club! 


As a Club Chef / Executive Sous Chef, we rely on you to:



  • Support the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations

  • Lead, supervise and develop a large culinary team

  • Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet company standards

  • Plan menus, cost recipes, and control food & labour costs

  • Oversee stock management, ordering, and kitchen inventory

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and compliance

  • Drive team performance, training, and engagement


 


We are looking for someone who has:



  • Certificate in Culinary Arts or related discipline

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant kitchen experience in a similar capacity

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

  • Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Fluent in English and Cantonese preferred
