Data Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and build interactive data applications and dashboards using Python and Dash
• Develop backend services and APIs to support data-driven applications
• Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable visual interfaces for business users
• Work with large-scale datasets and cloud-based data platforms to power analytics solutions
• Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to deliver decision-support tools
• Improve performance, usability, and reliability of internal analytics systems
• Take ownership of features from concept through to production delivery

Requirements

• Strong experience with:
  • Python (application and backend development)
  • Building dashboards or data-driven applications (Dash, Plotly, or similar frameworks)
  • REST APIs and backend service development
  • SQL and relational databases
  • Cloud data environments and managed database systems
• Strong understanding of data handling, transformation, and visualization
• Familiarity with modern engineering practices (Git, testing, CI/CD)
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS or equivalent)
• Experience working with financial, analytical, or operational datasets is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
