Data Architect (Artificial Intelligence)

Responsibilities

1. Defining and driving the enterprise data architecture vision and roadmap to support the organization’s strategic priorities and overall Enterprise Architecture (EA) framework
2. Establishing and embedding a comprehensive data governance framework across the organization, covering data ownership, stewardship, lifecycle management, and aligning with the People, Process, and Technology (PPT) model
3. Leading the formation and operation of a Data & AI Governance Council to oversee governance strategy, including: Defining ethical standards for data and AI usage; Defining ownership and stewardship of data and models; Developing and enforcing data privacy and protection policies; Setting clear engagement, oversight, and accountability mechanisms for AI and data adoption
4. Translating data and AI architecture principles into actionable standards, guidelines, and practices to guide both business and technology decision-making
5. Designing and recommending scalable architectural patterns and solutions for enterprise data platforms, including data hubs and integration across business systems and data products
6. Providing subject matter expertise on data and AI technologies, including identifying risks and advising on mitigation strategies and best practices
7. Championing a data-driven culture by mentoring project teams and promoting strong data governance and disciplined technology adoption
8. Ensuring all data and AI architecture artefacts are well-documented, structured, and aligned with enterprise standards to enable reusability and knowledge sharing
9. Staying current with emerging trends in data and AI, proactively identifying opportunities to create business value through innovation

Requirements

1. Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
2. At least 10 years of IT experience, including hands-on experience in data architecture roles, preferably within large-scale transformation or strategic initiatives
3. Solid experience in Architecting and developing large-scale data hubs, big data analytics and data service applications or software systems
4. Demonstrate practical exposure to AI technologies in enterprise environments, with experience in areas such as model development, training, and advanced techniques (e.g., federated learning)
5. Bring experience in guiding AI adoption from a data-driven perspective, positioning AI as an extension of strong data foundations rather than a standalone function
6. Familiar with enterprise data modelling, data lifecycle management, big data platforms, analytics tools, dashboards and data visualization solutions
7. Well-versed in data governance principles and relevant data privacy regulations
8. Familiar with enterprise architecture and IT governance frameworks (e.g., TOGAF certification)

Salary:

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
