Delivery Optimization Lead

The project:

A large-scale infrastructure programme involving complex civil, structural, and MEP works across multiple sites. The scope includes new town development, advanced technology facilities, and integrated transport systems, with emphasis on systems coordination, asset renewal, and long-term operational resilience.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Support Senior Construction Delivery Team, aligning with Construction Lead and SLT direction.
• Drive priorities across production, digital, data, and responsible business practices.
• Sets the bar for standards and building a culture to meet and exceed Mace and Contract standards - deliver programme outcomes, coordinating trade contractors and communicating effectively.
• Own safety, wellbeing, and quality across designated project sections.
• Lead lookahead planning and foster strong client and design team relationships.
• Implement standards, drive continuous improvement, and support net zero delivery goals.

You’ll need to have:

• Relevant Degree, in construction or engineering related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a site-based Leadership role (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety, digital delivery, and Mace standards.
• Proven experience managing large packages, budgets, programmes, and critical path.
• Relevant qualifications, SMSTS, CSCS, and recognised professional accreditation.
• Effective leadership, communication, and site management, with focus on HSE and innovation.
• Experience supporting PMO frameworks, including governance, reporting, and assurance processes.
• Proven ability to drive transformational change and continuous improvement across complex programmes.
