Job Description - Digital Workplace Engineer - Leading Investment Bank

Job description
Our client is seeking a Hands on M365 Engineer to join its Digital Workspace Operations team, with strong exposure to regional collaboration across Asia. You will play a key role in managing and enhancing enterprise messaging and identity infrastructure, supporting strategic transformation initiatives across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage Microsoft Exchange infrastructure (on-prem / hybrid / O365 as applicable)
  • Oversee email flow, including inbound/outbound routing and optimisation
  • Manage and enhance email security components (e.g., gateways, filtering, protection)
  • Support and maintain Active Directory (AD) for authentication and identity management
Project Work
  • Deliver strategic transformation initiatives across messaging and identity domains
  • Participate in regional and global infrastructure projects
  • Work closely with stakeholders to design and implement scalable solutions
Requirements
  • Strong technical expertise in Email Systems:
    • Microsoft Exchange
    • Email flow architecture
    • Email security gateways
  • Solid hands-on experience in Active Directory:
    • Authentication mechanisms
    • Configuration and integration (beyond basic user access support)
  • Background in Financial Services (FS) environment
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin (business communication)
