eFX Software Engineer

The Company

Our client is a leading global financial institution with a strong presence in the APAC region. They are known for their robust technology platforms and commitment to excellence in capital markets. As part of their continued investment in electronic trading, they are seeking an experienced eFX Software Engineer to support their fixed income trading business.

The Team

You will be joining the FX trading team, supporting trading desks across the Asia region (Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Korea). The team operates as a first and second line of support for various trading platforms and ensures smooth day-to-day operations of critical front-office systems.

The Role

As an eFX Software Engineer, you will act as a key contact for both technical and functional support of electronic trading systems. This includes both in-house platforms and vendor solutions supporting FX markets. You will work closely with traders, developers, and external partners to resolve issues, manage incidents, and contribute to the evolution of the trading platform. This is a hands-on role requiring strong communication, technical problem-solving, and business understanding.

The Requirements

• 2+ years' experience supporting fixed income and/or electronic trading platforms
• Strong understanding of Capital Markets products, especially Fixed Income and Rates
• Prior experience in front-office technical support within an investment bank
• Familiarity with platforms such as ION and in-house bond/IRD systems (Jetstream or similar)
• Comfortable working in a high-pressure trading floor environment
• Solid troubleshooting and incident management skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Experience liaising with business users, developers, and external vendors
• Understanding of RFQ, STP workflows, and pricing logic in trading platforms
• C# knowledge is a plus
• Bachelors degree in Finance, IT, or a related field
