Pay \: HK$24,675 to HK$29,195 per month
Up to 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide biomedical engineering services support to hospitals and clinics.
2. Support the technical assessment on biomedical equipment.
3. Compile and collate data and manage database information on biomedical equipment.
4. Classify international nomenclature for biomedical equipment for preparation of medical device administrative control system by the Government.
5. Perform related duties as assigned by supervisors.
Entry Requirements
1. University Graduate with work experience; OR
2. F.5 / S.5 with:
(a) Passes in 5 subjects in the HKCEE including English Language (Syl. B) and Chinese Language, or equivalent;
OR
(b) 5 subjects in the HKDSE attaining the level specified below:
- Level 2 in English Language and Chinese Language ; and
- Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects / ‘‘Attained’’ in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects under this category) / Grade E in Other Language subjects, or equivalent;
AND diploma in Engineering (Biomedical, Health Technology or Medical) AND relevant working experience.
Preferred Attributes
1. A degree accredited by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers or other qualification which satisfies the academic requirements for corporate membership of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers in the Biomedical discipline and for admission into their Training Scheme “A” (Biomedical discipline); or qualification accepted/ accredited by international professional institutions for registration of professional engineer status.
2. Experience in biomedical engineering, electronics engineering or instrumentation.
3. Good computer skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
4. Able to work independently and under pressure.
5. Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills, self-motivated, pleasant and mature.

2. The selected candidate will be posted to Biomedical Engineering Services Section, Cluster Services Division, HA Head Office OR other locations in Hospital Authority.
3. Subject to satisfactory performance and approval by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, the selected candidate may be referred to undertake the Scheme “A” Training programme approved by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.
